Peter Armistead - Ultra Runner

Born in Manchester, UK, made in Whistler, BC!

I am a keen and competitive Ultra Runner who has had overall podium results in the 50 mile, 75 mile and 100 mile categories. I’ve also won my age ground many times. I like to run one big 100 mile race each year and then several slightly smaller races.

My favourite inspirational quote is:

Suffering brings self improvement.

Fun fact: As well as living and Ultra Running in Whistler, I also run a successful real estate business in Manchester, UK. I wake up at 3am every morning to work UK hours! Despite the time difference, I’ve won several real estate development prizes and written 3 best selling books on real estate investment.

Michelle Elliot - WNBF Bikini PRO

Born in Markham, Ontario

Discipline, motivation, organization and self-confidence were all qualities I lacked. I drank and partied all the time. To the point where weeks and months would pass and I realized I hadn't accomplished anything. I needed to make a change for the sake of my overall health, so I decided to get a personal trainer.

When I was approached by Lylas, now my competition coach, I had been training for about two years. At that point I didn't have any real fitness goals and was kind of just fluffing around. She introduced me to a whole new fitness industry that I had no idea about. I enjoyed the new workout plans designed to sculpt my body and we dialed in on my nutrition. Being on a calorie deficit to lose body fat and still training hard at the gym was pretty tough. But being a full time server, especially in Whistler, was the toughest part about my prep. I had to learn to say no to situations like after work drinks because I knew they would set back my progress. I felt really isolated at times, always feeling like I was missing out.

A lot of sweat and tears were shed in the process leading up to competition day. There's a lot of mental strength needed and gained to get to that stage. I definitely have way more appreciation for all the athletes out there, knowing all the hard work that goes into competing. I've learned a lot of new healthy habits and gained self confidence. I know now that if I put the effort in, and have the determination, I can accomplish goals I never thought I could.

My favourite inspirational quote is:

What you do everyday matters more than what you do once in awhile.

Fun fact: The very first time I competed in a bikini competition, I won first place and the PRO title at same time!

Max Morello - Professional Skier

Born in Ottowa, Ontario

I grew up in Ottawa, Ontario and moved to Whistler to pursue my skiing career. I started out competing on the Slopestyle circuit, then transitioned to shooting movie segments and magazine articles. Although I’m in front of the camera most of the time, I’ve also developed an appreciation for film and photography. And I now produce my own ski movies.

Whether it’s ski touring or through snowmobile access, I spend most of my time in the backcountry. I love being in the mountains with my friends, building jumps, catching some air and scaring myself!

My favourite inspirational quote is:

What the world needs most is more people who come alive.

Fun Fact: I was on the 2013 cover of Freeskier magazine and won the 2013 Powder Award. Since then I’ve been featured in lots of different ski magazine spreads and movie segments.
